A delegation from Helsingore Little School in Denmark, on Thursday donated educational materials and medical items to Kuntaur Upper Basic School and Health Centre, at a ceremony held at Kuntaur Town.
The donated items for the school, include woods and tools, sporting gears, calculators, and spare parts for the school generator, while medicament, mattresses, boxes of white gowns and towels went to the Health Centre.
The Danish group also donated 66 cartons of second-hand clothes, six cartons of shoes and six cartons of toys to Fulla Kunda Nursery School.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Peter Gotfresen, head of the delegation, said his organisation had earlier donated 18 hospital beds to Kuntaur Health Centre. He expressed hope that the donated items will be put into good use.
Lamin Cham, Health Officer at Kuntaur Health Centre, who received the donated items, thanked the donors for their assistance and assured them that the items will be put into good use.
Mr. Kanji, Principal of Kuntaur Upper Basic School, also lauded the donors, on behalf of his school, and then assured them that they would make the optimism use of the donated items.
