The Gambia Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), on Sunday booked their ticket to the semi finals on the 2007 National Inter departmental Football tournament.
In their quarter final encounter played at the Saint Peter’s Senior Secondary School in Lamin, the Civil Aviation boys defeated Immigration Department 5-4 on penalty kicks after a goalles draw.
In an interview with Pointsport after the game, Alhagie Sanneh, the striker of GCAA team said “we are definitely hoping to lift the trophy to the Airport this time around.”
He added that since the beginning of the championship they came out victorious in all their games, resulting to their semi final spot.
He attributed his team success to the good work of their head coach Mr, Edwin Bammy Coker.
Meanwhile GCAA would now lock horns with NAWEC in the semi final next week.
