Our Ball Control was Poor - Coach Bonu

The Head coach of the Gambia National U-20 team, Peter Bonu Johnson, has attributed his team defeat against Ivory Coast U-23 on Saturday to poor ball controls in the game.

Speaking to Journalists after the game, Coach Bonu said that his team lacked ball control in the game resulting to their defeat.

He added that they were unlucky to concede two bad goals due to lack of ball possession.
He added that it was very disappointing to concede a very bad goal in the last minute.

On the performance of the new comers in the team, Coach Bonu said that two of them namely Paul Jatta and Ebrima Jatta of Hawks performed up to expectations and he hope with time the others would catch up.

For his part the head coach of the Ivory Coast U-23 team, Kouadio Georges, said that it was a very difficult encounter as both teams performed up to expectation.

He added that they won the game because they capitalized on mistakes made by Gambian team.
Coach Kouadio added that it was not surprised with the performance of The Gambian team because every body knows what the Gambian team can do.

“The Gambian is a very good team,” he concluded.
