A baby girl was buried alive, minutes after its birth, by her grandmother, at Sare Nyanga, a village in Niani District, CRR North, unimpeachable sources revealed to the Daily Observer.

Yassin Jallow , the grandmother, was alleged to have buried the innocent grand-child at her back yard .

The mother of the baby, Gibba Jallow, is alleged to have given permitted Yassin Jallow to bury her baby. In her twenties, Gibba Jallow is said to be married at Chewel village, in the Upper Fulladu District. She and her mother, Yassin, are said to be in remand at Janjangbureh prison, helping the police in their investigations.
