Assembly selects reps to Ecowas Parliament and others

Members of the National Assembly on Monday in their first meeting in the 2007 Legislative Session, have nominated some of it’s members to represent The Gambia to the international parliamentry bodies for a five year period.

This bodies are Ecowas Parliament, Pan African Parliament, ACP-EU Joint Parliamentry Association and the Inter Parliamentry Union.

The members nominated to the Ecowas Parliament are Sulayman Joof, Abdoulie Suku Singhateh, Momodou Sellu Bah, Haddy Nyang Jagne and Alhajie Momodou LK Sanneh. For the Pan African Parliament, Fabakary Tombong Jatta, Bintanding Jarju, Mama Kandeh, Abdoulie Kanagi Jawla and Sidia Jatta. For the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentry Association , Netty Baldeh, Borry LSB Kolley, Oley Sey, Adama Cham and Lamin Ceesay while Speaker Fatoumata Jahumpa Ceesay, Kalipha Jammeh, Pa Jallow,Tina Faal and Sheriff Abba Sanyang for the Inter Parliamentry Union.
