Ensa Sanyang, Momodou Saidy and Mr Ebrima, were on Monday, arraigned before Magistrate Amina Saho-Ceesay of the Bundung Magistrates’ Court, charged for common assault and wilful damage of property.

According to the particulars of the offence, the trio jointly assaulted one Mbye Joof by beating, on 15 October 2006 at Bundung Borehole Car Park in Serrekunda. On count two, the three men were alleged for willful and unlawful damage of the wind screen of the vehicle (registration number BJL 0097 C) value at D10, 000, being the property of Mbye Joof.

However, the men pleaded not guilty, when the charges were read to them. They were granted bail to the sum of D10,000 with two Gambian sureties, who were asked to submit their ID cards, as well as furnish the court with a reachable contact addresses.

Presiding Magistrate Saho-Ceesay then adjourned the case to enable the Prosecutor Corporal 772 Samateh to present his witnesses.
