1st Annual Gambian Talent Awards tomorrow

Saul Sounds Joluv Arts based in United Kingdom in collaboration with Gambia Talents Promotions based in Atlanta Georgia in the United States of America will hold their premier ever annual Gambian Talents Award tomorrow saturday 23rd February 2008 at the luxurious Jama Hall at the Kairaba Beach Hotel.

Basically, the award seek to annually celebrate, reward and promote distinguished Gambian who have excel and made significant inroads in their respective fields of endeavour.

In an interview with What’s On , Mr Sowe said his organisation was established in 1994 and since then has been promoting many local artist internationally.

According to Sowe, his organisation main target is to bring together Senegambian community both in UK and The Gambia through entertainments

“ Basically, the time is right for all Gambian to appreciates the work of Gambian talents and to cherish their contributions both nationaly and internationaly. This award night is to say thank you and to say keep it up Gambian talents,” he said.

Joluv Arts Entertainment Boss further went on “ The award will be given to individuals in the areas of music, sports and arts. To me if you nominee you are a winner as the idea is to appreciate the works of Gambia talents,” he stated.

Mr Sowe further revealed that the award nights is sponsored by Africel, a GSM provider with the slogan bringing people closer.

Commenting on his collaboration with Gambian Talents Promotions (GTP) Sowe described it as excellent describing the groups president Pa Ousman Joof , as dynamic youth who is doing a very good jobs out in the US by promoting Gambian artists and culture. “Let the people support our occasion as the ceremony will also witness live performances by own finest stars like Joloffman, Pa Omar Jack, Sambou Suso, Jalex, Oumie Ngum, Singateh, Dr Olugander just to name a few’” he said.

Soon after award,a party will be honoured at Tam Tam Night club courtesy of Black Lynx Entertainment.
