The last four sides in the on-going super nawettan championship have been confirmed, after the completion of heated group matches during the mid-week.
Serrekunda West salvaged a 1-1 draw against the in-form Brikama side on Wednesday to progress to the semis as the second best in Group B. As runners-up, Serrekunda West will meet, in one of the semi-final ties, the Bakau side, who finished as Group A heroes after collecting seven points in three matches. The fixture is scheduled for Saturday, November 24, at the Serrekunda West Mini-stadium.
The other semi-final fixture will see the vice-champions, Brikama, square-up against Banjul, on Sunday, November 25, at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium.
The City Boys undisputedly have a score to settle with the Western Region giants, whose 4-0 thrashing sent them packing in last year’s tournament.
The destiny of the coveted title which is currently held by the embattled Serrekunda East side, will be decided on Sunday, December 2, at the Independence Stadium, Bakau, with the prospective winner bagging a giant trophy and a cash prize of D25,000. The second best team will receive a cash prize of D15,000, while a consolation prize of D6,000 will go to the remaining six zones.
