D300, 000 bail bond for three accused

Sheikh Tijan Secka and Ismaila Njie of Serrekunda, were each yesterday, granted bail to the sum of D300, 000 with a Gambian surety by Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court for their alledged involment in stealing properties worth D250, 000 from one Ebrima Cham.

The duo, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them. The presiding magistrate then adjourned the matter to 17 May, 2007, for continuation.

In a similar development, one Solo Kuyateh was also granted bail yesterday, to the sum of D300, 000 with one Gambian surety by Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Kainfing Magistrates’ Court. Mr. Kuyateh was dragged to court for stealing the sum of D200, 581, said to be the property of one Hubert Bucholza, a Dutch national in KMSD in 2006.

When the charge sheet was read to him, Mr. Kuyateh pleaded not guilty. Consequently, the case was also adjourned to 17 May 2007.
