$600 Case Withdrawn

Isatou Jawo, an inhabitant of Tabokoto village, has withdrawn the lawsuit she instituted against one Alieu Jallow. Alieu had admitted responsibility for stealing $600 from Isatou but according to Isatou, she was no longer interested in any legal tussle since the stolen money has been recovered. Based on this, magistrate B.O. Jobe of the Bundung magistrates’ Court acquitted and discharged Alieu but was warned to refrain from embarking on such unholy expeditions like stealing and to be of good behaviour. 772 Samateh represented the Inspector General of Police in the trial.
