Momodou Alieu Jallow, an elderly man from Yundum, was last week sentenced by the Brikama Magistrates’ Court for giving false information to the Office of the President.

Jallow was sent to jail for one week for writing to the president’s office, alleging that his daughter met her untimely death when she was hit by a car in President Jammeh’s cavalcade. He alleged that the accident occurred sometime in October of last year in New Yundum village, knowing fully well that his daughter was hit by an ambulance.
