Regleh Society Women Association in Kanifing Municipality has extended gratitude and honour to Alhaji Dr Ebrima Malick Samba, former Director-General (DG) of World Health Organisation (WHO) in Africa, for granting D300, 000 interest-free loans to the association.

Aji Marie Ceesay, President and founder of Regleh Society Women Association, commended Dr Samba for enabling them to carry out their operations.

She described the gesture as a “timely generosity”. She added that the sum will go along way towards helping members of the association to firmly stand on their feet in order to better themselves.

Mrs. Ceesay disclosed that this is the first time in the history of association when they received such a loan without an interest. She told the Daily Observer, that the association has awarded certificate and a token of dress to Dr Samba, in appreciation of his gesture. She then called on others to emulate Dr Samba’s gesture for national development.
