Abdou Demba, 25, also one of the victims of the Kanifing Estate fire outbreak, succumbed to his burns on Friday, 10th November, 2006.

Abdou Demba reportedly died on the way to Senegal where he was said to have been referred for treatment. The deceased is a nephew to Pa Amat Jagne who died earlier on Sunday, 5th November as a result of the injuries he sustained. Abdou’s death has brought the number of deaths in the fire disaster to seven.

Eighteen people, mostly young men, were reportedly injured while trying to save lives. The body of late Abdou was laid to rest on Saturday, 11th November 2006.
