The former Prime Minister of Senegal, Idrissa Seck, has declined to comment on his Monday meeting with the Senegalese leader, President Abdoulaye Wade.
It would be recalled that in our yesterday’s edition, we carried a front page story on the meeting between President Wade and former Prime Minister Seck in which the former told the press that they had trashed out their problems or differences and that Seck had rejoined his party, the PDS.
Prime Minister Seck fell out with his former ally President Wade and later formed his own political party (Rewme) to contest in Senegal’s presidential election scheduled for 25 February this year.
Seck was also faced with 7-month imprisonment last year in the hands of the Wade administration.
Seck’s press conference that should have taken place yesterday was postponed sine die.
In another development, President Wade has called on all the old hands who, over the years, left the party to come back to the party.
