Thursday, January 11, 2007
The National Organising Committee responsible for the running of wrestling in Senegal [CNG] has laid a three year suspension on Mohamed Ndao alias Tyson for walking out of the arena on Sunday 7th January against Bombardier.

The decision was made in a meeting held on Monday 8th January 2007 at the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium in Dakar.

The sanction was not a surprise to wrestling fans as walking away is a big violation of the Rules and Regulations governing wrestling in Senegal.

The three year suspension would go with a deduction of 75% of his stake which amount of D5,960,000 from the total amount of D7,280,000 equivalent to 130,000,000 CFA Francs paid to each of the wrestlers.

According to Senegalese Daily Newspaper Le Soleil, the sanction was inevitable despite some members of the CNG refused to make statements after the incident on Sunday as they were waiting for the final report of the referees.

Tyson has been given the right to appeal the decision of the Committee.

It could be noted that 50,000 spectators attended the most awaited bout last Sunday, which lasted for 30 seconds.
