As part of efforts to promote the African cultural heritage, the Alliance Franco Gambienne shall be hosting a contemporary dance performance at the Amphitheater complex on Wednesday February 2007 starting at 8.30pm, featuring The Pofton, a world acclaimed choreography company.

Pofton is an 18 -member ensemble of ecstatic dancing prowess. The group is directed by Mexican professional choreographer Jessica Sandoval and Gerardo Trejoluna. They shall be collaborating with the music and Dance Company, Soba Bade of Dakar, Senegal with the support of UNESCO.

After the Alliance Franco gig the group shall embark on a tour, which will take them to Ziguinchor, Kaolack and Toubab Diallaw.

Meanwhile the Director of Alliance Franco Gambienne Michel Kauffmann is inviting all and sundry to attend the dance show.
