The Gambia’s International reggae heart-throb, Singateh aka Freaky Joe, has recently signed a new deal with Mega Force Records Company in Germany.
Mega Force Records is a Stuttgart based records company and agents that signs artists to produce their album, distribute and also help in marketing them.
According to Freaky Joe, he also signed a deal with nine other artists from Jamaica and Europe, adding that he is the first artist from Africa to sign this new deal with Mega Force Records.
Singateh is currently working on a new album called “Wonders & Signs” due to be released next year in February in Europe and Jamaica, with 14 sound tracks, which were recorded at Mega Force Records in Stuttgart, Germany.
According to him, he will be performing live at Tin Club in Bremen, Germany, on November 16th.
“I will also hold another mega concert in Austria on the 23rd November, courtesy of DJ Taf of Jah Loves Sounds,” he revealed.
However, Singateh is expected to stage his last shows in Stuttgart, Germany, November 30, together with a Jamaican born reggae star, Natty King, under Mega Force Record. “In my Stuttgart shows I was backed by King Ralph, a renown Gambian DJ based in Germany.
However, I plan to start my ‘Wonders & Signs” album promotional tour in Germany next year after my annual US tour on my second album promotions. Year 2007 is a very fruitful year for me as I am able to make a world tour of America, England, Sweden, Germany and Austria,” Singateh said.
He applauded Onegambia promotions crew, especially Pa Njie, Yaram Arts in London, Gmanns Director of Mega Force Records in Germany, Gambia Talents in Atlanta, Georgia, and his manager Pa Ousman Joof, for their outstanding efforts in exposing him to the international music arena.
Meanwhile, Freaky Joe, who is expected home in December, has a series of programmes lined up. Watch out for Singateh’s shows in December after his return with DJ Pisces of One Tribe Sound, the Gambia’s award winners, the Swiss Mega Sound Clash 2007 competition. These programmes will be held Waaw Nite Club, Willies Nite Club, and Brikama Jokor.
