Mini Reshuffle in The Civil Service

According to official sources, yet another mini reshuffle has taken place in the Gambian civil service. The reshuffle, affecting more than two state Departments, has seen Mr. Willy Joof, Permanent Secretary Department of State for Foreign Affairs, relieved of his post and replaced by Mariam Ndure-Njie, then Deputy Permanent Secretary, as acting Permanent Secretary.

In another development, Lamin Nyabally, who served as Permanent Secretary for few days at the Office of the President, has now been transferred to the Department of State for Works and Infrastructure, replacing Mr. Lamin Sanneh. Karamo Jaiteh, Managing Director Road Authority, has also been removed and replaced by Mr. Badou Mboge in an acting capacity. Mr. Mboge was the Chairman of the Road Authority. Mr. Tamsir Manga, Permanent Secretary at the Department of State for Youth, Sports and Religious Affairs, has also been fired, replaced by Mr. Ebou Joof, the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the same Department of State.
