Malian Cultural Star, Djiby Drame Due in Town

The wave-making Malian cultural apostle, Djiby Drame, is expected to make his debut performance in The Gambia during the Tobaski long weekend.

The young and larger- than -life Malian singer who is renowned  for his authentic, cultural lyrics  and for always wearing typical African costumes will be performing live along with his star-studded backing band  on 22 and 23 December at Jama Hall and Joko Westfield respectively.

He and his band are poised to give music aficionados the treat of a lifetime, with soul –stirring tunes. 

Speaking to this paper, DJ Lamin Cham of Champion Sound, said that the event is organized with the aim of giving culture lovers memorable nights, adding that event is tagged XUWARE AFRICA.

He said “We are promoters and we  want to give people special packages at all times, this is why we are bringing Djiby Drame and his live Band to the Gambia for the first time. We hope everyone will find the Programme interesting and enjoyable.”
