President Yahya Jammeh, has appointed Mr Abdou Kolley as the Secretaty of State for Trade, Industry and Employment.

A press release issued by the Office of the President states: “His Excellency The President of the Republic, The Gambia Alhaji Dr. Yahya A.J.J Jammeh, acting in accordance with the powers conferred upon him under sections 71(1) and 71 (3) of the Constitution of the Republic of The Gambia, has appointed Mr. Abdou Kolley as Secretary of State for Trade, Industry and Employment with effect from 24th February 2007.”

Mr Kolley succeeds Susan Waffa-Ogoo who was relieved of her post on February 20, 2007.
