It’s Nice to be Nice Productions and Consultancy (INTBNPC) continues its distribution programme of goods, totaling D2 million to those in need. The organisation is truly living up to its name.
The organisation was gifted with the contents of 40ft container from Chirstian African Relief Trust (CART) a UK based charity. The items included both new and used medical supplies and equipment, canes, crutches, computers, bicycles, sewing machines, tools and books, ranging from nursery school to university level, exercise books, pens, pencils, toiletries, clothing for men, women and children and other items. Mr. David Raithlby, the Project Director, for this programme was instrumental in making sure this project become a success.
INTBNPC is a registered, charitable, non-profit,self-funded organisation here in The Gambia since February 2005. The organisation provides free health education, training and counseling to individuals and famlies. It also provides educational support for children at risk and donations of usable goods to those in need.
This occasion also saw the presentation of 10 sewing machine and farming tools to the Nimbalanteh Women’s organisation. The presentation was attended by, Mr Ousman Yarboe, Director of Tango, Mr. Peter Gichigo of VCo, Lillian Colley of MRC, and Mrs. Yarboe, who received the donated items commended the organisation. When asked why she started INTBNPC, Ms Blakey stated that it was a gift from God.
So far, the organisation has donated items to Jalambang Nursery School, Barrow kunda Beakanyang Kafo orphange, JOEL orphanage in Wilngara, Kulari Lower Basic School, Tumana Village, Winner’s Chapel and many others. The organisation’s founder and Executive Director, Ms Victoria “Ndella” Blakey stated that the distribution programme is an on-going programme, and looks forward to donating books to DOSE, University of The Gambia and medical supplies to the RVTH and many others.
Ms Blakey, is an African American resident in The Gambia, and is also a staff at the University of The Gambia as an Administrative Assistant. Ms Blakey wishes to thank members of the Office of The President for being supportive of her efforts. The organisation and Ms Blakey will soon be relocated, due to the recalling of the government compound that currently houses INTBNPC and Ms Blakey. Ms Blakey also wishes to thank her friend and volunteers for the support.
