Two teachers, namely Lawrence and Fanding Darboe, of Sheikh Mass Kah Senior Secondary School, were reportedly assaulted in separate incidents by some students of the school. Both teachers confirmed this fact to our reporter.

According to Lawrence, he came under attack, after sending some students out of the classroom for disturbing lessons. “As I was walking towards the school gate, I was hit on the head and sustained severe injuries”, he narrated to this reporter.

Fanding Darboe, another victim said he was assaulted by a female student, days after the violent attack on Lawrence.

Abdoulie Jah, the school’s Principal, who also spoke to our reporter regarding the incidents stressed the need for the respect of the rights of the teachers to safety and protection.
