Scorpions foreign legion start arrival

Scorpion’s foreign based players have started to breeze into the country ahead of Gambia’s decisive Nations Cup qualifier match away to Guinea Conakry on the weekend.
The first batch of players to jet into town are the Belgian based forward, Assan Jatta, commonly known as Bierhoff, Kamal Ndow of Cyprus, defender Pa Saikou Kujabi and Modou Jagne of Austria.

Lamin Sarr, a member of the technicians currently overseeing the team told Observer Sports that four foreign-based players have arrived so far, adding that Ebou Sillah and Edrissa Sonko are currently in Dakar awaiting to join others in collective training.
Coach Sarr said more foreign players are expected to arrive soon, notable among, he said, is Yankuba Ceesay, the Peruvian based player.

Gambia will need a win against Guinea to keep their first-ever Nations Cup dream alive.
The Scorpions currently lie third in the Group 8 table which has Algeria on top spot on 7 points and Guinea second on 4 points. The Scorpions are level on points with Cape Verde with the latter enjoying a considerable goal difference.
