The inclusion of Sarja Leigh and Ken Malamin Jammeh in the recent called 18- man local players of the national U-20 team would depend on their quick recovery from injury both players are currently nursing.

Speaking to Pointsport at the Paradise Suites Hotel yesterday, Coach Peter Bonu Johnson said that Ken Malamin Jammeh, captain of the team, is recovering form a knee injury he sustained during the African Youth Championship in Congo while Sarja Leigh is currently suffering from an injury he sustained during their test game against the Senior National Squad last Thursday.

“Saja Leigh has a broken meta-tarsal at his left foot and he is currently under POP,” Bonu Johnson revealed.

He added that the injury of Sarja Leigh and Ken Malamin Jammed is a big blow for the team as both players are keys in the team.

“Sarja and Ken Malamin will join the team if they recover from their injury before June 15th because FIFA have set the deadline of June 20th for the final list to be submitted,” Bonu concluded.
