A business tycoon by the name of Sanjay Punjabi of Indian nationality in The Gambia has expressed his willingness to render any support to Gambian football after recently donating 5229 yards of clothing to the fans for supporting in Canada.

Speaking to Pointsports at his office in Banjul, Mr. Punjabi who has taken The Gambia as his second home, said he was doing it in order to encourage other business men to emulate from a venture that is worth supporting.

He added that sports helped in the development of any nation and therefore deserves greater attention than it now receives.

He revealed that as far as sports was concerned he was willing to participate immensely, which is all geared towards raising the level of Gambian football to higher heights and towards national development.

He called on other members of the business community to give support to the country and towards football and sports in general.
