Gamcel, Gamtel and Gambia Civil Aviation have received a pat on the back for facilitating Scorpions trip to Cape Verde for their crucial Nations Cup qualifier cracker on Saturday, June 16.

According to Mr. Seedy Kinteh, President of The Gambia Football Association, the team would have still be in the country without the kind and timely intervention of Gamcel, Gamtel and the Gambia Civil Aviation.

“The Gambia Civil Aviation shoulders the team’s travel cost from Banjul to Dakar while Gamcel and Gamtel jointly sponsor the team’s return tickets from Dakar to Praia.

The sister telecommunication companies also refunded the ticker fares of our overseas players. Without their support, the team’s preparation would have been far from been smooth and the Football Association really acknowledges their support,” Kinteh told Observer Sports yesterday.
