Official sources have intimated to this paper that six officials of Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) have been appointed to top positions within the Authority while two more have been appointed from outside GRA.

The officials are James Johnson, who now becomes Deputy Commissioner Operations; Alieu Ceesay, as Deputy Commissioner of Technical Services; Abdou Jallow as Deputy Commissioner Enforcement; Momodou M. Secka, as Deputy Commissioner Branch Operations; Musa Corr, as Deputy Commissioner Large Taxpayers Unit (LTU) and Mamour Joof, as Deputy Commissioner Tax Office Operations.

In a related development, Assan Jallow, former GCAA Director of Finance, has been appointed Director of Internal Audit while Alieu Bittaye of CBEMP is appointed Director of Finance Management Services.

All the appointments are said to be with immediate effect.
