Friday, August 31, 2007

Officials at the Gambia Football Association informed Observer Sports that today’s press briefing that will be held at the GFA secretariat at 4.00pm, will enable them to explain their part of the story on the on-going contract saga, after being muted for so long.

Malick Camara, the Saller Sports agent in the country has claimed that the German based Sports firm opted for the termination of the four-year deal after the football association unilaterally expunged certain section in the draft copy of the contract document.

However, the football governing body is yet to make an official comment on the matter, making today’s press briefing a ‘must-attend’ event for every Gambia sports journalist.
