GVBA Ordinary Sessions Slated for February 2

In a bid to further restructure its association, the Gambia Volleyball Association has set 2nd February as the date for its ordinary session which among other objectives, provides for the filling of some vacant positions in the Association’s executive.

A news release from The Gambia Volleyball Association reveals that the meeting will among other things boost the image of the association and help ensure its efficient performance in the development of volleyball in the country.

The release also went on to call on all stakeholders to come forward and attend the session scheduled to take place at the National Sports Council hall at Independence Stadium in Bakau.

According to the release, the registration fee for this year’s national Volleyball league, particularly the institutions and teams, is D1000.

“Registration is however open from now, all geared towards complementing the association’s action plan for 2007/2008, in light of the failure in not being able to stage a national league,” it stated.

The super cup final for the 2008 Volleyball league will be played on March 15, 2008 between Gorillas and Old Jeshwang in the male category. Interior will take on Kanifing in the female category.
