Please allow me space to express my disappointment with something I have observed, which makes me feel concerned.

I have learnt with disappointment that Western Union, after using the local Nawetan football tournament for a number of years in promoting their services, has decided to stop sponsoring them, the grassroots of Gambian football.

This comes after the Nawetans have helped them to be a household name in The Gambia. They have now decided to run away from one of their social responsibilities for more profits.

So, I call on all Gambians to take note and focus on helping our own local money transfers.
