Gamcel’s grand promotion final draw held

The Gambia Cellular Company and the leading GSM operator in the country, Gamcel,  yesterday held its grand promotion final draw for the year 2008, at its head office along the Mamadi, Manjang highway.

This is in fulfillment of the company’s promise made to their customers for the year 2008. Five people were lucky to win the last five generators, five won 5 TV sets, ten people won 10 scholarship packages and the final Yaay Borom 6, for the first time was won by one Ebrima Jobe, a native of Farafenni, North Bank Region.

The ten lucky winners for the scholarship packages were owners of the following numbers: 9339394, 9945624, 9982814, 9955751,  9957509, 9850755, 9907772, 9335337, 9704033 and 9948428.  

The other five winners for the TV sets were the numbers: 9602828, 9901406, 9803260, 9916691,9926751.

The five winners for the generators were, 984f2749, 9884997, 9381788, 9901012, 9873540 and the Yaay Borom went to Ebrima Jobe of farrafenni who’s number is 9926129.

Speaking at the raffle draw, Kebba Bojang, the sales and marketing manager of Gamcel said, this is the final draw for 2008 and thanked their customers for being with them throughout the year.

According to him, many people had benefited from this grand promotion, all geared towards contributing to the capacity building of Gambians. He said Gamcel is supportive to the education sector leading to the inclusion of the 100 scholarship packages in the raffle draw. He said “Gamcel is not here to deceive anyone. It belongs to everyone” he said.

For his part, Almamy Gassama, Gamcel’s customer care manager, spoke on the transparency in which the raffle draw is held. He  thanked their customers for patronising them, noting that without the customers, the draw would not have reached were it had. He then revealed that more surprises are in the offing in 2009.

Momodou Salieu-Jallow, an esteem customer of gamcel urged people to join Gamcel as it is the national GSM operator that belongs to the people of this country.
