The Gambia Armed Forces FC will be hoping to extend their lead on the table when they take on mid-table Gamtel, while Bakau United take on Hawks as Gambia Football Association First Division League enters its tenth week today.
The Soldiers are in full command at the top of the league table with 19 points, 5 points ahead of second-placed Steve Biko. They take on Gamtel at the Father Gough sports complex in Manjai hoping for the repeat of weekend performance against Steve Biko. Bakau United, who got off to a bright start before being stumblers in the recent weeks will on take Hawks at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium. Hawks put an end to a four-match winless streak over the weekend with a 2-0 victory which pushes struggling Sea View closer to the drop zone.
Brikama United, who upset Real de Banjul in the weekend host fellow newcomers, Tallinding United, at the Brikama Mini-stadium, while Wallidan fight it out with Sea View at the Independence Stadium. Wallidan endured a deteriorating start to the defence of their title, but a 3-0 thumbing of Africell-Sait Matty in their week nine meeting on Sunday saw them climb to within joint third position on the table.
On Thursday, Steve Biko and Real de Banjul will face a long trip to Brikama, while Samger and fellow strugglers Africell-Sait Matty square against each other at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium.
