Man Found Dead at Banjul International Airport

The body of a man was on Sunday morning found hanging dead within the BanjulInternationalAirport in Yundum. The incident is believed to be a case of suicide. The body was identified as that of Essa Tamba, is said to be an employee of The Gambia Fire Services.

According to reports, the body was found hanging from a tree by some members of the public on their way to work in the early hours of the morning.

According to eyewitness accounts, a mobile phone, national and service identification cards, a voter’s card and some money, were found on him. The body was first taken to the Bajulinding Health Centre for examination prior to taking it to the mortuary at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH) in Banjul.
