Kalilou Conteh, a native of Baddibou Conteh Kunda but resident in Kombo, is yet to secure a counsel to represent him and as such, his trial over ‘killing’ a pregnant woman could not begin.

Conteh was on Monday brought to the Bundung Magistrates’ Court but subsequently returned to the State Central Prison when the court was informed that he was yet to secure the services of a lawyer.

The accused was sometime last year charged with the murder of one Mariama Camara in Sukuta. He allegedly used a pestle to kill Mrs. Camara while she was pregnant.

According to Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Janneh, Kalilou Conteh had already informed the court that he cannot afford to hire the services of a lawyer.
