The Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, chaired by Abdoulie Mbackeh, recently remanded one Ebrima Keita on bail for allegedly assaulting one Ali Jawo thereby causing him grievous bodily harm.
He was alleged of stabbing Ali with a broken bottle at the Bakau car park and, as a result, caused him serious bodily injuries.
Ebrima admitted responsibility for the offence and begged the court to show him grace and spare him.
But according to magistrate Mbackeh, his court could not entertain his plea for clemency as verdict was yet to be delivered in the case.
