Sea View moved on top of the GFA League table, after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over the Gambia Ports Authority in their Thursday’s fixture played at Serrekunda East Mini-stadium.
Pateh Nyan set up striker, John Gomez to score the only goal of the match on the 30th minute and his third in the season.
The newcomers never failed to capitalise on the absence of some Ports Authority key players to claim their second win in three matches that saw them share the same points with Real, Wallidan and Sait Matty, but still enjoy a considerable goal advantage.
Elsewhere on the same day, Sait Matty frustrated Bakau United with a 1-0 win. It was Sait Matty’s second successive wins after their debut match defeat to Real. Steve Biko will now face Hawks on Sunday at Banjul Mini-stadium. As Biko look forward to their first win since the start of the season, Hawks will have their first taste of the season after their elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup Championship.
