If every thing goes well, the Gambia would be hosting the 2007 Zone II Volleyball championship in March.

According to the Executive secretary of the Gambia National Sports Council, Donald Sock, the championship would be held in Banjul from the 25th to the 31st March 2007.

Mr. Sock revealed that a national organising committee would be put in place very soon to start working on the modalities.

He pointed out that the Gambia National Volleyball Association under the leadership of Musa Casa Taal is currently working actively to ensure that all the majors’ things are been put in place.

It could be noted that the Gambia is also given the mandate to host the Zone II Volleyball secretariat.

The Gambia government has already approved the proposal to that effect.
