The 2006 Gamtel sponsored FA Cup winners; Hawks would host the Ivorians of AS Dengule on Saturday January 27, 2007 for the first leg of CAF Confederation Cup preliminaries.

According to the Gambia football Association, the match is scheduled to kick off at 4.30pm at the Independence Stadium. The Ivorian are expected in Banjul on Wednesday January 24th.The ticket for the match is D100.00 for VIP, D25.00 for Covered Pavilion and D10.00 for Uncovered.

In another development, the match between GPA, the 2006 League Champions and Ashanti Kotoko of Ghana in the preliminary rounds of CAF league championship has been postponed to February 3rd, and 10th for the first and second legs in Accra and Banjul respectively.

It could be noted that GPA earlier on applied for a postponement of their match due to the involvement of many of their players in the ongoing African Youth Championship in Congo.
