Mr Bakary Terema Dahaba, Director of the Gambia Football Association Centre for Excellence and the contact person for the FIFA artificial turf project in The Gambia, is to leave Banjul today to attend a FIFA training program on artificial turf management in Abidjan.
The artificial turf is the FIFA’s latest development package to its member associations in a bid to make the game accessible and affordable to people.
The first ever artificial turf pitch for The Gambia is currently under construction in Brikama.
Mr Dahaba will be accompanied to Abidjan by one Amadou Jallow of the Brikama Youth and Sports Committee.
Participants to the Abidjan Forum will be drawn from sixteen countries in Sub Saharan Africa.
