Nianikunda United will soon leave for Kaffrine, Senegal, to play an International Friendly match against Lambai FC of Kaffrine.

They secured this international assignment after successfully winning the Niamina Dankunku District Tournament against Jakoto FC by 3-0.

The annual District football tournament is sponsored by one Mr. Samba Budi Jallow, a native of the area and presently residing in Brufut, who has a great interest in football.

In an interview with pointsport, the head coach of the Nianikunda United, Mr. Lamin Bah noted with pride that he was sure that his team would win the Trophy and qualified for the trip to Kaffrine, Senegal.

“My boys were all dedicated and most of them are playing with recognized teams in the Greater Banjul,” he pointed out.

Meanwhile the team was awarded a trophy and a cash price of D5000.00 while Jakoto FC went home with a cash price of D1500.00 and a trophy.

Coach Bah added that they are well preparing to face the Senegalese team, Lambai FC of Kaffrine.

“We will be leaving in two weeks time and would come back in The Gambia with the victory,” he reassured his fans.
