Omar Ndow Trial Continues

africa » gambia » banjul
Friday, September 14, 2007

The trial of the former Managing Director of Gamtel, Omar Ndow, continued on Tuesday before Magistrate B.Y. Camara of the Banjul Magistrates’ Court.

Delivering his ruling on the case, Magistrate Camara stated that the admissibility of a document as exhibit is contained in the rules of the evidence act. He added that after going through the argument of both the prosecution and the defense, the court has had to conclude that the documents should be admitted in court as exhibits.

He said it would depend on the weight the court would attach to the document admitted.

The two documents the prosecution intended to tender were thus later tendered in court and marked as exhibits.

The case was at that point adjourned to 13th September 2007 for continuation.
