Abdoulie Bah, an account officer working at the Gambia Telecommunication Ltd (Gamtel), yesterday testified in the ongoing criminal case involving Omar Ndow, former Managing Director of the company.
Mr Abdoulie Bah, in his respond to questions from Lawyer Sheriff Tambedou, counsel for Omar Ndow, said he had no idea as to whether CDMA’s expansion project was at no cost to Gamtel as he has no idea about GPPA’s approval of Gamtel’s pilot project expansion, noting that he did not see the approved document to support that.

Abdoulie Bah affirmed that he has been in the management of the Gamtel since 2005, at the time of the implementation of the pilot projects expansion. He however, said that he cannot say whether the project had registered success or not.

He continued that he is not aware of any approval from the office of the President on the project.
Asked if he was aware of the Gambian leader, President Jammeh’s personal congratulations which he extended to Mr Omar Ndow, for the successful implementation of the CBMA project, Mr Bah responded in the negative, saying he is not aware of such a development.
Magistrate B Y Camara then adjourned the case for continuation.
