Kinderdorf Bottrop Technical Junior and Senior Secondary Schools on Saturday, held their fourteenth annual inter-house athletic competition their school ground in Brikama. Four Houses took part in the fierce competition which saw two Houses completing at the top.
Yellow and Blue Houses tied at 343 points at top of the table before both sides walked away with giant trophies and an undisclosed cash prizes.
Green House finished at third position while Red House finished at bottom.
Addressing the students, Mr Kandeh Camara, chairman of the Bottrop Schools Sport Committee expressed delight at the massive turn-out, noting that when it comes to sports, Bottrop is always at the fore-front.
Mr Lamin Camara, vice-principal of the school, hailed the school’s sports department for its steadfastness in taking the school to higher heights.
The Western Region school last year retained the inter-schools title they won in 2006, and the elated vice-president insists his school is going for a hat-trick come this year’s inter-school bonanza.
Lamin K Mboge, board member of the school, tasked the pupils to take education seriously as well as maintain their current stance in the secondary school sports arena.
