The Brikama Magistrates’ Court will soon begin hearing testimonies in the trial of one Sainey Joof accused of defiling an 11-year-old child in Sambujang village just few kilometres outside Gunjur in Kombo South.

Sainey was recently charged for raping the 11-year-old girl in March of this year and would now undergo trial following his denial of the allegations preferred against him.

He was however placed under custody because, according to magistrate John Njie, the alleged offence committed was a grave one.

The case resumes soon for hearing.
