Four granted bail

Ousman Kijera, Alieu George, Tony Senghore and Modou Lamin Ceesay, all from Kanifing South, were on Monday, granted bailed by Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court.

Ousman Kijera and Alieu George were granted bailed in the sum of D5,000 each for robbing Yassin Jallow of Kanifing South of her LG mobile phone, valuing D3,000 on the 22nd April, 2007.  The two accused pleaded not guilty to the charges, contrary to Section 273 of the Criminal Code, Laws of The Gambia. 

In a related development, Tony Senghore and Modou Lamin Ceesay were also on Monday, granted bail in the sum of D5,000 each for robbing Fatoumata Ceesay of her Siemens mobile phone, textile clothes, among other materials. This happened in the month of April 2007. Both the two accused also pleaded not guilty to the charges of robbery.
Both cases continue on 14th May, 2007.
