Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court yesterday acquitted and discharged one Kekuta Sano, a Guinean national, who was standing trial for obtaining money by false pretence, for the lack of delight prosecution.

Mr. Kekuta Sano whose case has been dragging before the court since last year was alleged to have obtained the sum of D69,000 from one Prince Williams from the UK, under the pretext that he was going to give Mr. Williams one kilo of gold dust.

However, the prosecution had earlier called the complainant to give his evidence- in-chief, but the case did not proceed and subsequently Magistrate Jammeh discharged and acquitted the accused person.

Mr. Sano who pleaded not guilty to the charges against him, told the court his passport is currently at Mile Two, and asked the court to help him get his passport.
