Marabout Remanded

Monday, May 21, 2007

An order for the remand in custody of a professed marabout and his alleged confederate in crime was this week issued by the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court chaired by Moses Richards.

Sarjo Jallow and Ebou Jallow have been charged with an alleged offence of obtaining D170,000 from one Lamin Saho on pretext that they were going to provide a lasting solution to his matrimonial problems.

They denied the charge and were remanded at the state central prison, pending the resumption of their case.
