By Modou Sanyang

Kawsu Jarju, 2nd accused person in the alleged murder of Ron Ford, a British national, on Tuesday 26 June 2007 concluded his testimony before Magistrate Buba Jawo of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court.

Continuing his testimony under cross-examination by the state prosecutor, the 2nd accused told the court that the first time he met the 1st accused was at the NIA. He said at the NIA he neither said anything to the 1st accused, nor did the 1st accused say anything to him. He said he was not arrested at any hotel in Brikama but rather he was arrested at his restaurant while selling.

Still under cross-examination, the 2nd accused told the court that he found the 1st accused at the NIA office, adding that they were both taken to Mile 2 prison the same day. He denied knowing any Kakai Gibba. He also denied knowing Peter Fox. He asserted that he did not write any statement at any police station or at the NIA office.

The case was adjourned for the addresses of the counsels on both side.
