Hearing in Son, Father’s Case Soon

Thursday, June 28, 2007

Legal proceedings will this July begin in the case of a son who was dragged to the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court for threatening to kill his father as well as other members of the family.

Malick Jagne was also formally charged with assaulting his father in Old Jeshwang by knocking him on the face but when the charges were read and interpreted to him in the language he claimed to have understood, he denied the charges.

An order for his remand in custody till July 5th was consequently issued by magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh for the opening of the case for a full trial.
