The National Patriotic Student Association, NAPSA, yesterday embarked on a tour of schools in the Western Region of The Gambia.
The tour, which was inter alia, aimed at assessing the student turn-out in schools, especially during the first week of the new academic year took NAPSA members to various junior and senior secondary schools in Western Region.
Speaking in an interview with this reporter, Jaliba Ansu Jobarteh, PRO of NAPSA, explained that the visitation was a follow-up to a panel discussion that his association had on GRTS, in which students were urged to report to school on the opening day of schools.
He posited that there are plans in the pipeline for his association to embark on similar visitations of other schools within the Kombos.
“During the tour, it was discovered that students have really heeded the call of NAPSA to report to school on time. We were surprised to find some schools already at an advanced stage of lessons on the day of the opening of schools,” Mr. Kuyateh enthused.
Mr. Modou Alieu Jallow also spoke to this reporter, expressing NAPSA’s commitment to serve the students of The Gambia at all times.
